Style Steal: Miu Miu Glitter Pumps

The Fash Pack are all over Miu Miu’s fabulous (if a little eccentric in the colour combinations) glitter pumps and boots. That means, so are the mags, the blogs and therefore, you and I. Don’t you hate it when that happens?

They are however, not a very you-and-I kind of price. As much as I love a fabulous shoe (and in my book, these should be worn to all possible occasions, day and night, dressed up or down,) the shoes start at £370 and the boots are £555 so they remain a treat rather than an impulse purchase.

However, a bit of sparkle is perfect for the coming party season, Halloween dressing up, and (as mentioned above) generally glittering up your life. So I thought I would hunt down some more acceptably priced alternatives for those impulse splurges.

Top Row: Silver glitter – Whirl, Dune, (down to £72 from £90.) Black/Silver glitter platform – Amelia, Carvela £120. Subtle white gold glitter – Enid, KG Kurt Geiger £130.
Middle Row: Gold Multi strap Mary Jane – Strike, ASOS £80. Green glitter platform – ASOS, Hysteric £40. Silver strappy sandal – Miss KG Harajuku, (reduced from £80 to £48)

Florence’s Favourites (Bottom Row): The heels on the court shoes missed the mark but these Multi glitter bow pumps, by Dorothy perkins hit the spot for flats at £16. My best buy? Gold Glitter court – Miss Selfridge a style steal at £40.

Will you be purchasing some glitter shoes this winter?

    • Rachie they look so uncomfortable but they are fabulous and I am seriously lusting after them… Everyone needs some glitter in their lives no?!

  1. Well Rebecca, you had me at sparkly shoes…

I’ve been searching high and low for such shoes that didn’t make me look like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Some of these babies came close but just a teeny bit high – stumbled upon Glamrock in silver at Schuh. Just perfect!

  2. Purchased…and currently wearing! Yep, my stay at home sloppy clothes are topped off today by THE most divine sparkly shoes. I bought these lovelies in Zara to wear for my wedding and have decided to start breaking them in straight away 🙂 I’ve been on the hunt for a glittering slipper since I saw Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella back in April and turned to my Mum and whispered ‘those…for the wedding!’. Finding the right height/price/colour has been tricky but for a low elegant heel without going completely flat, I can definitely recommend these:

  3. I had been lusting after the miu miu booties since I watched the live broadcast of the fashion show in feb and I decided that I was turning 30 in September they were to be my birthday treat to myself. From about June on I was constantly on 3 websites that i knew would be selling them waiting for the perfect pair (silver glitter, pistachio suede and crossover front) to come online. 5 days before my birthday there they came online for sale, I had to phone up a friend for moral support whilst placing the order, I felt sick that I was spending that much on them (the boyfriend doesnt and will never know how much they were) but when they came I was so happy I had got them. I wore them on my birthday and have never had so many compliments about a pair of shoes!
