(…and a sneaky belated Friday Food!)
Happy weekend folks! I’ve literally had so much good stuff to fit in this week that I haven’t managed to get it all shoe-horned in, so this week’s Friday Food is coming better late than never for your weekend baking entertainment. I’m going to be making this one for a late Sunday brunch I think… with eggs, maybe some bacon and maple syrup, and the papers. So enjoy!
This week it’s Cinnamon pull-apart bread by Joy the Baker, found via A Small Scoop
Head on over to Joy the Baker to get the full recipe and how-to, and think of me on Sunday morning when I shall be stuffing my face with this pillowy sugary sweet cinnamon goodness. 🙂
You can thank me later…
In the meantime, for your Saturday morning (hopefully lazing in bed) read, here are some web links I spied and took Florence’s Fancy…
- Think brights are over? Not if Whistles have anything to do with it – sneak peek of the SS’12 collection.
- This week I’ve been listening to another Florence… Florence and the Machine’s new single Shake it Out. You how sometimes a song just hits the nail on the head about how you’re feeling? So uplifting.
- An electric before and after from Design Sponge has got me eyeing up the furniture…
- Have you seen the new M&S christmas advert with the X factor contestants?
- Don’t forget to finish reading Persuasion – it’s Florence’s book club next week!
- Finally found something to clean the bloom from my Hunter Wellies and restore their shine… Do you need new wellies?
- A Girl after my own heart… Glitter is my Prozac
- I’m going back to mineral make-up – do you do minerals?
Love,
Rebecca

Yum that pull apart loaf looks amaze. And I’m inspired to buy new wellies! And something to keep the bloom off them x
Oooh, I may just have to give that bread a try – looks amazing!
Weirdly, it’s like your reading my mind with some of the things you’ve posted – I’ve just added Florence’s new album and some shiny grey Hunter wellies to my Christmas list!
Oh, and for me, this year, my favourite advert HAS to be John Lewis’ Christmas ad. It’s airing tonight during X Factor… but it’s on YouTube if you’re a bit geeky (in a good way!) like me, and want a sneak peak!
xoxo
Awww! What a tear jerker, that ad is super cute!
Xo
Teeny tiny tear ran out here!
The little boy’s facial expressions are priceless! So cute x
Got to agree with Katie, the John Lewis ad is awesome! Someone sent round the YouTube link at work yesterday (work in marketing so such geekery is acceptable and expected), and not ashamed to admit I was nearly blubbing at my desk!!
Bread looks delish, will be trying that when I have a spare lazy Sunday xx
Ooh, the bread looks scrummy, definately going to try that one out on a cold Sunday morning x
I made that bread this afternoon – substituted some sultanas for some sugar between the layers and added some condensed milk drizzled over the top. Boy and I had it for tonight’s dessert served with a large dollop of vanilla ice-cream. INCREDIBLE.
Ok ladies – made the bread this afternoon – little later than anticipated 😉 but it was soooo worth it.
When I started eating it, Pete said ‘someone looks pleased with themselves!’ because I was smiling… I was thinking that the way Joy talks about it, it could so easily be overhyped but it really. is. that. good. 🙂

That bread looks DELISH, and cinnamon is one of my favourite flavours – can’t wait to try it…
Bread looks yummy but I hate cinnamon 🙁 I’m also loving Shake It Out though, it’s on a loop at work and I love my Bare Minerals too. Had a really bad skin flare up last year and decided to try it and haven’t gone back to anything else.
The bread looks heavenly and I love cinnamon! I may have to try this instead of cinnamon French toast this weekend.
I started using Bare Escentuals mineral makeup years ago, before it had even made it’s way across the pond. I had to order it online from the US (!) back then but it was the only makeup kind enough for my skin.
I am SO going to try this at the weekend. Looks like a brill Xmas treat 🙂
