Friday Frock O’clock

Another Friday, another perfect summer frock… 🙂

ETHNIC STYLE DRESS, MANGO £29.99

This weekend I’m taking Pete to CarFest – he is obsessed with cars, old and new, so it was a good birthday present for him when I was stuck earlier in the year. I’m looking forward to watching The Feeling in the evening and eating lots of festival food. So when I spotted this dress, I had festival style on my mind and I can’t think of anything more perfect to wear with boots or wellies, a throw on raincoat and cross body bag. I love the ikat-esque print and blue is a real staple in my wardrobe, all for under £30!

What are you doing this weekend readers? I hope you’re planning a good one wherever you are.

Love,
Rebecca

Friday Frock O’clock

Halterneck floral dress from MANGO £44.99

This weekend Pete and I are going to a summer ball with some friends. I’ve ended up opting for a dress that I’ve had a while but love – a great Ted Baker grey heavy silk maxi with a gorgeous floral print. However, I have had my eyes open for a potentially suitable dress as I have a few parties coming up and a very special hen do. I found today’s MANGO dress on that search and fell for the short and sweet hem line (who doesn’t love flashing those pins?) the flirty back and dreamy floral print in sorbet shades. Another winning feature of course is the ability to conceal a less than perfect tummy, particularly if eating is on the agenda. 😉

Even better, it’s a total steal at £45! Get in quick – there are no 8’s left, but all the other sizes are up for grabs.

Have a great weekend readers 🙂

Love,
Rebecca

PS The French Connection sale is on too!

Friday Frock O’clock

Just after Easter I am going to a friends wedding and my thoughts have already turned to what I’m going to wear. Usually I love occasion wear shopping but this year I’m just not finding anything that I have fallen in love with. After a day scouring the shops and a bit of online hunting however I have come up with two options. For a bit of Friday fun I thought I’d put together two whole outfits using the dress as the key item and let you guys vote on your favourites. I’m pretty torn it has to be said.

Pleated cross over dress, MANGO // Bag and Shoes, Caroline Issa for LK Bennett // Belt, MANGO

This options gets points for versatility. It’s a slightly more casual dress style so has lots of potential for re-wearing during the summer months plus the accessories are absolutely killer. I LOVE the Caroline Issa for LK Bennett collection and think they would become wardrobe staples for many a year to come.

Lace panel dress, Warehouse // Shoes, Zara // Bag, Ted Baker // Bracelet, J.Crew

Outfit two is on-trend (monochrome), on budget (Dress + shoes = £115) and without doubt would be super flattering with that panelled lace detail. It’s a much more glamorous and elegant look with a bit of a modern twist.

So ladies, cast your votes… which is your favourite look?

Love,
Rebecca
