Spotted: Party Feet

Today’s #FFFestiveFun prompt is ‘Sparkles’ and so it’s the perfect time to share the perfect shoe for your party feet!

Lyrics by Aaron Smith, Shoes from Marks & Spencer

They from M&S, they’re £35 and if you have ever fancied a pair of glitter heels but not wanted to splurge, then now’s the time. As an aside, they also have a very practical and on-trend block heel which will make them more comfortable and easier to walk in, if you happen to be out of practice like me. ;)

Monday Must-Have: Glitter heels

When I created the Monday Must-Have series, it was intended to showcase a single item or type of thing that was on my mind at the time of writing. Maybe seasonal, maybe just a good ‘find’, it’s more often than not something I’m coveting or searching out because, without sounding overly dramatic, my life doesnt feel complete without it. Perhaps a little extreme but never were a truer word spoken than about these shoes. ;)

If asked, I would never consider myself a ‘shoe person’ when pitted against bags for example, however occasionally a particular style or shoe gets right under my skin. Carvela’s Gold Glitter shoe had me at ‘glitter’ and at the end of last week they went into the sale. Now a much more palatable £75, Antibes will live in your wardrobe for years just waiting to pep up some jeans for a modern spin on party wear, or teamed with an old faithful LBD or colour block dress, will feel anything but boring.

They are my Monday absolutely-MUST-have. And aren’t they the best thing you have seen so far this morning?

Spotted: Zara Spring Drop

If you aren’t aware that Zara is possibly the hottest place to shop on the high street right now, then where have you been? Although my round up of the SS12 collections has been quiet for a while, that is because Zara has been saving the best until last and a week or so ago, it all landed with a thud online and in store at Zara.

Easily the fashionista’s favourite, it’s not hard to see why. I’m not doing my favourite picks from what’s in store because the turnover is so quick – in my experience with Zara it’s better to just hold your breath and visit frequently. But I couldn’t resist sharing these Look Book images because I am loving the neutrals and, you guessed it, those bold shots of colour.

It’s a little bit J Crew-esque with primary brights, a shot of neon, peachy faded brights and those statement necklaces. There’s a lot to be keeping your eyes peeled for in store. My other tip for scoring Zara goodness is to shop online. You’ll often find items online that never come into store, or are much later in doing so and of course, it’s much comfier shopping at your desk, and less time consuming for us busy ladies.

However, aside from the clothes, the one thing that Zara are really knocking out of the park right now on a super trend level, is their footwear. From perspex heels (made wearable for the office,) to pastels shades (with matching metal toe caps,) mirror-like metallics to chunky heels and summer ready sandals, there is something here for everyone and more often than not at a very attractive price point. Lots of the heels come in at around £29.99. I think I should be on commission!

So, have you spotted any favourites here? Or maybe you’ve already snapped up some Zara finds?

Drop me a comment below and share the Zara love,

Friday Frock O’clock: The NYE Edition

It’s that time again – whatever your feelings about New Year’s Eve, it’s fast approaching and that often means a what-to-wear dilemma. So this week’s Friday frock, is not a frock. Gasp!

I thought this week I would share New Year’s eve outfit (if we can blag a table somewhere, as we have left things somewhat later than usual…) and I’ve had my eye on this Ted Baker jumpsuit for a while.

Jumpsuit: Ted Baker £100, Clutch: Ted Baker £99, Bow heels: Ted Baker £67, Earrings: £260 Astley Clarke

As it’s not just any night, (do I sound like an M&S advert?) and this isn’t just any frock, I thought I’d go the whole hog and create the whole outfit. Not usually one for putting a whole look together in one shop (no-one wants to look like the mannequin in the window after all) I did however fall hard for the rose gold tinted bow peep toes, that would glam up any outfit from here on in. That and the (note the theme) rose gold envelope clutch add a suitably sparkly touch on the accessories front. With a neckline like this, I’d always opt for some fabulous chandelier earrings and these by Miguel Ases from Astley Clarke would do nicely. I like that they tone but don’t match and sparkle without being gaudy.

Now Cinderella just needs a ball to go to!

I hope you all have a wonderful night tomorrow and if you haven’t already shared in this morning’s post, do leave a comment and let me know what you’ll be doing, and of course, what you’ll be wearing.

See you in 2012!

Love,
Rebecca
