Today I’m spending the morning putting the finishing touches to some paper goods I’m preparing for a baby shower later today. It’s the first one I’ve been to and has been a collaboration of efforts between the 4 of us attending (plus the mummy-to-be.)
I’m responsible for balloons, the menus and the not-too-twee (and guaranteed to be hilarious when you’ve worked in the areas the attendees have) baby names A-Z… think Akon, Barbie, Chardonnay….
Baby Harrison is a boy but we decided to make it quite a girly lunch, pink bubbles, and peach, lilac and lemon accents, all started off by the monogram downloadable I customised to create invitations. Although they’re wedding invitations, I used Mummy Harrisons first initial and then changed the names to the phrase ‘Mrs Harrison and the new arrival’. On the actual day there will be bunting decor so I’ll be switching to the bunting downloadable for place cards and menus. It’s a soft multi-coloured palette with ever stylish grey tying it all together. I had also been dying to use these straws for something – almost worth having a party for in itself!
