Inspiration to Reality: Beach Chic

This afternoon, I’m introducing a new feature to you readers, something I’ve had in mind for a while, but it’s not something that I have ever got around to doing. I realised when I was on holiday that I truly do see inspiration all around me. It’s like writing Florence Finds has woken up my creative senses. However, I realise that when it’s not something you’re totally immersed and engaged with, translating a look you see in real life or on line isn’t always the easiest thing to do. I’ve decided to take a single snapshot image of a room or garden and give you the actual items to create the look in your real life.

This week, after sharing The Gallivant hotel yesterday and being so inspired by their grown-up and chic take on nautical beach chic, I thought that made a good starting point.

Do let me know if there’s anything you would like to see ‘brought to life’! I have a few more up my sleeve, inspired by my travels and finds over the last few months, both indoor and outdoors. 🙂

Love,
Rebecca

Found: Kiss Her by Bianca Hall

Twitter is a wonderful thing, not least because it’s a place for discovery. Today’s ‘find’ actually found me via twitter, and as I quite often look up my new followers to discover who’s really behind the obscure/interesting/plain weird name, @kissherlondon caught my eye.

Sweet Dreams cushion £75 // Night Night cushion £95 // Pillowcase set £29

What I found more than caught my eye. I was full on drooling in no time at all over the neon, (I seem to be having something of a moment over neon) typography and full-on colour in the Kiss Her range by Bianca Hall. One of the things I’ve been looking for since my grey decorating project has been some bright editions to my neutral backdrop and I just love the cushions and their retro circus-like typography.

‘Silence is Golden’ £120 // Lucky £69 // ‘Kiss and Tell’ £49

Those of you who enjoyed Zoe’s colourful home tour last week will no doubt be swooning over the print… head on over to the Kiss Her site to look at the full range as I could have included every single one of them and there are some monochrome and paler ones for the colour shy amongst you.

‘Silence’ and ‘Trust me’ Neon signs, made to order £570

Lastly, if you want to add some rock’n’roll chic to your abode, you’ll have to beat me to the front of the queue for these super-cool neon signs. They’re not cheap but they’re an incredible statement and I am IN LOVE. Le Sigh, to quote Mahj.

So, do you like readers?

Love,
Rebecca
