Saturday Survey

Saturday Survey is back and this week I’d like to know your thoughts on Interiors, or more specifically the Home section on Florence Finds. First up you’ve got my selection of things I liked around the web this week, then my questions are below. Thanks so much in advance for sharing your thoughts and helping make Florence Finds even better!

Five things:

Seriously, Glitter walls? I Love.

Have you heard of Garance Dore? Initially an illustrator she has found fame and fortune (or something nicer than that sounds) writing her blog and now consults with international brands like Petit Bateau. I think we could all do with some Parisien chic in our lives and she has as part of that created a range of chic casual basics for Petit Bateau. Enjoy the video, I think you will love her blog too. :)

Lancome’s new sugary sweet pistachio and rose colours for the spring collection: Les Yeux Doux Ombre Absolue palette, Le French Touch and Le Roseraie Blush. How cute is the candy striped lipstick case?

All about the pink this week… especially this gorgeous collection of pink pants seen on TheGlitterGuide.com

And of course… I’m thinking about Valentine’ Day already. Pink, hearts and balloons? Excuse me while I have a seriously girly moment. Full (sensible) service will resume on Monday ;)

Five Questions:

  1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)
  2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
  3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
  4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
  5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Thanks in advance readers!

Happy Weekend!

Love,
Rebecca

  2. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

Sadly, I am drawn to loads of different styles. I wish I could decide. I saw India Knights’ house in Red recently – AMAZING.

Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

Renting. Stuck in London with no prospect of ever being able to buy.

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

    All, to be honest.

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

As I mentioned the other day, efficient wardrobe storage and organisation.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

    Nah, not really ;)

  3. Morning all!

I’m at work and its cold :-(

    Five Questions:

How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
This is so difficult to answer really because I’m drawn to all sorts but I love a mix of old and new i.e Victorian and Edwardian architecture mixed with clean lines, trendy finds and some rustic chic thrown in for good measure. I think our homes are reflection of our personality so its difficult to describe as we are all so individual…

Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
Living with Husband in our first home which is large enough to start a family (soon hopefully).

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
Living areas; Kitchens and Sitting rooms. I also have a love of exteriors i.e. gorgeous doors and Victorian tiled entrances, window boxes etc… Think Holland Park, Notting Hill etc

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.) Any of the above.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Yes. Grow your own, English country gardens, chic entertaining spaces outside, dressing your garden for a garden part, to name but a few.

Hope you have a fab weekend!

    xx

  4. J’adore your blog! I’m pretty new to Florence Finds, but I really love what you do and always look forward to reading.

Home decor…my favourite subject! I would say my home is a mix of salvage chic/industrial and mid century modern. I love clean lines and dark wood, anything Danish and furniture with a murky past!

We currently rent a lovely cottage in SE London. But we have an agreement with the landlord that we will buy it in a year or so. So I guess we trying before we buy. Just need to save the pennies hard!

When seeing readers homes I’m all about the bathroom and kitchen.

As I’m a newbie to FF I haven’t seen much of the home features. But I love to see ‘before and afters’.

I’m not terribly green fingered, but it’s good to see urban gardens and what you can do with small spaces.

    Thanks for your ace blog!

    Amy. Xx

  5. 1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
Modern classics – décor that has great modern elements, but also is comfortable and warm. A mix of vintage elements and brand new contemporary things. Schemes that you think “I could live with that”.

    2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
Bought our first proper home last year. This is one we could see ourself retiring in if we never have to move.

    3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
Bedrooms, hallways, lounges, dining rooms, but am always curious about how other people put together their rooms!

    4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
I’m interested in the small things in rooms as well as whole room changes. and major elements. For example, I’m trying to find a really nice floor lamp for our living room at the moment but am struggling to find some thing classic enough for my husband and quirky enough for me that doesn’t cost the earth! Any suggestions on this would be great!

    5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
We have 120ft of an unloved garden to sort out (the previous owners were not gardeners, whereas those before them were, so we have some great old fruit trees) all advice welcome on gardening. Eventually we will have a veg patch, a low maintenance spot for entertaining and a area with lots of flowers, although this is likely to take a while to create.

  6. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)
Period decor, every time. We live in a 200 year old cottage and are much more drawn to older places than new builds. I love Art deco style, Arts and Crafts, French provincial and retro/vintage design styles.

Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
We are renting with a view to buy in a couple of years.

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
    Living room, bedroom, kitchens.

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
D.I.Y decor ideas, room set inspirations, interior design websites or books.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
VERY interested in gardening, particularly grow your own and landscaping/ designing and creating your garden, for example how someone might have transformed the garden fo the house they have recently bought.

  7. 1. Mix matched and comfortable. Why would you want a low backed sofa or hard chairs, I really don’t know. Comfort over style for us.

Our house has affordable (mostly second hand or gifted) furniture, more oftten than not antiques (I like auctions, and they are usually cheaper than new, and antiques hold their value so much better than John Lewis), walls are bland colours, furniture is quite plain and boring (functionality is imporatant). Bright colourful curtains, cushions, rugs and lots of pictures on walls.

    2. We live in a property owned by the in-laws, rent free. It’s a farm cottage, and my husband works on the family farm.

    3. Offices.

We have done up all the rooms in our house, except for the office and spare bedrooms. The spare bedrooms have furniture in that we have been given, it just needs painting and carpets. We have the curtains. As it’s the spare rooms, I’m not that fussed on it being perfect, so will just be our usual mismatched style.

I’m not someone who would redo a room every few years. I’m quite frugal, so once it’s done, it’s done till it’s falling apart.

    4. It is perfect already. I always like lighting, rugs and pictures. Never have the money for a refurb.

    5. We live in country, and have a large garden. It’s all completed, in terms of design. We have a veg garden, so I like allotment posts.

    Sorry, not much help.

    xx

  8. 1) How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

I love mid-century modern (my favourite pieces of furniture are our white leather Days Forum sofa, and a retro Ercol style Parker Knoll 3 piece suite we were given by the inlaws) – however we are about to move into a terrace built in 1902 and would like more ideas about how to mix pieces and styles so that it all works in an older house.

    2) Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

Just about to get our mitts on our first home – completion date set for next Friday! Had a major panic yesterday that I wouldn’t be able to get my contribution to the deposit out of my ISA in time, but I think it’s all sorted now. Am feeling very scared about spending all our savings! We have been renting and saving for quite a long time so have been able to sort of jump the first rung of the ladder and buy a roomy 4 bed, so hopefully will be able to stay there for at least 10 years.

    3) I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

I’m super nosy (can be found wandering the streets at twilight trying to catch glimpses of people’s front rooms!) so any room is of interest – however I’m particularly interested in bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms at the moment.

    4) What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

Best furniture finds, storage ideas (as someone mentioned above), colour schemes, and of course real rooms! Ooh and where to find good repro/ original features for period houses; I would love to eventually replace our fireplace with one more in keeping with the house, and add some corbels (if that’s the right word?) to the arch in the hallway.

    5) Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Yes, but the house we’re buying only has a long narrow yard, and a very small front garden – I’m looking for ideas for things that can be done in pots, and how to make the front garden look smart and welcoming. Also how to avoid killing plants in pots – the ones on our balcony always end up looking so ropey.

  9. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? I personally love mixing styles up – I’m obsessed with vintage fabric prints, but I love the clean lines of modern furniture and the warm earthy tones of rustic items – Getting a real mix of inspiration is great.

Where are you in your ‘property life’? Currently homeless! We’re about to emigrate, so we’re bunking up with the inlaws for the final weeks (yes, it is as crazy as it sounds).

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
    Kitchens/bedrooms/living rooms

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own? Yes, to an extent – but I’d probably steer away from the section if it was more “flowers” and less “design”.

I see what you mean about the glitter wall – I can’t help but smile when I look at it!

  10. 1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)
Home decor posts are defintiely some of my favourites on Florence Finds. I love a mix of all types, great inspiration for our future home.

    2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

We are currently renting and house hunting for our first home. Off to view one tomorrow so fingers crossed!

    3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
    All of them.

    4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
More of the same, you are doing a great job!

    5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Not that big on gardening but defintiely like the idea of ideas on how to utilise smaller outdoor spaces to their maximum potential.

  11. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

Umm, not sure, I like lots of styles and probably end up with a muddle, cosy modern cottage might be best description of our house at the moment. That or messy…

Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

We are in our first house but have been for a while and I don’t think we’ll be moving unless I can persuade my husband to have lots of children (!)

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

    Kitchens and bedrooms

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

Love the makeovers, would also like some home style roundups similar to the fashion and definitely some good storage ideas, our house is always cluttered.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Our garden is definitely the most neglected part of our home. I keep having good intentions and then all the weeds grow back again. Some ideas to make it beautiful (& low maintenance) would be great.

  12. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

I like to see a little bit of everything! Specifically – retro, shabby chic, modern, classic elegance, quirky little touches too

Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

We’ve just sold our first home together (yippee!!!!) and currently on the hunt for our ‘forever home’… which we *think* we may have found!!

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

For me, I love to see master bedroom, lounge and dining room most of all – not so bothered about the kitchen/bathroom

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

Yes!! I’d love to see more round ups – a bit like the fashion/gift guide ones. Perhaps different items covering different looks? Also, I’d like to see more home accessories and shops/websites that are a bit different from the regular high street. (I think this is because we’re about to move house though)

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

It’s low maintenance all the way for our garden – love anything that looks great but is easy to look after!

  13. 1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
I live in a very modern flat – monochrome with touches of bold colour. I’m drawn to eclectic decor, the “thrown together” look, and quirky properties.

    2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? Own a two-bed flat and about to buy a house, with plans to rent the flat.

    3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in? Kitchens! A good kitchen is the heart if the home

    4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.) I think there’s great variety already.

    5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own? G Y O, especially on a balcony

  14. 1.How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

The lovely Anna K’s comment above could easily have been written by me -am just in process of moving into a very modern flat with wooden floors, white walls and lots of light (luckily) so will be working with that and brightening it up with lots of bold accessories etc. I’m much more of a modern girl, don’t tend to like the fussy antiquey look.

2.Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

I’m currently selling my first house in order to move into a flat (which I’ve bought) so technically it’s my second home but it’s actually smaller than my first!! (much more expensive due to location etc though!)

3.I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

I like seeing a bit of everything -bedrooms and kitchens are my faves though.

4.What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

More decor on a budget, a lot of the stuff you feature seems quite high-end to me (but then I’m a cheapskate, I deliberated for ages the other day over £5 cushions in Ikea!) And DIY type decor as I’ve really enjoyed putting together stuff for my flat myself -photo collages, cushion covers, you name it really….

5.Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Urban spaces would be interesting, or rather what you can achieve on a tiiiiiny balcony ;)

  15. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!) I wish I could say I’m consistent but on the whole I would say salvage chic is what I’m drawn to, small child means practical quite often wins :)
Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.) We thought we were in our forever home but are finding ourselves fantasising about another after only two years!
I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in? All of them, more into the details, storage, small touches that I can copy without having to restyle a whole room, than the overall design.
Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own ? I have a raised veg patch already to go but needing motivation and ideas where to get started!

  16. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
Definitely mid-century but with a modern, design classic, twist. Lots of colour

Where are you in your ‘property life’?
On home number 4 – not our family home for life but definitely our home for the next few years.

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
All – but especially tricky spaces.

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? Furniture and interior styles – like you do with fashion.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Definitely – we’ve done the house but not tackled the garden yet. Really don’t know where to start.

Keep doing what you’re doing Rebecca. Enjoying reading my daily dose of FF.

  17. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
Country cottage, fresh colours and clean lines all with a very homely-vibe.

Where are you in your ‘property life’?
Renting but hoping to buy the house we’re renting soon. Ready to have our ‘first home’.

I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
    Kitchen.

What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds?
    Organisation and storage ideas.

Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Yes! Recently got an allotment so ideas are welcome!

    xx

  18. Hi Rebecca,
    Here are my answers:

    - How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? I love modern-meets-functional-with-hints-of-traditional. This is what our house is like, or rather what we are trying to make it like! We are renovating our Victorian, mixing relaxed, clean line furniture with the odd splashes of elegance, like an antique gold mirror, or a bed with deep pleated buttons headboard. I’m now looking for some coloured Murano chandeliers… in fact, if you know where to source some at reasonable price, I’d love to see a feature!
    - Where are you in your ‘property life’? First home.
-I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in? Kitchens, living rooms and more than anything, extensions!
    - Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own? I’d love to see some grow your own projects that blend in with a functional garden area. To give you an idea, we want to turn our garden into an entertainment space, but also include an area to grow our own vegetable that blends in and doesn’t look like an allotment.

    Have a great sunday! x

  19. 1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

I’m drawn to lots of different styles and appreciate different ‘looks’ depending on what the house is like, my mood, the weather etc. My own house is an Edwardian house with high ceilings and lots of period features. On the whole our style is quite classic but with a few modern touches.
    2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

Sold the ‘bach pad’ last year to buy a sensible house with a garden.

    3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
All – love to draw as much inspiration from other peoples’ houses as I can.

    4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

Maybe more mood boards – of certain colours/styles etc. Round-ups are good – general overall ones of lots of products, and, say, one on lamps, or bedlinen etc.

    5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Yes yes yes. I am just getting to grips with my first garden and am in need of lots of tips, inspiration and help.

  20. Mid century modern has been a favourite for a while

Currently renting but looking in to buying (but a mid 30s couple both with decent ish jobs can’t buy much in London unfortunately)

    Like all rooms and spaces

For me I’d like storage solutions and making the most of smaller spaces plus different stores and stockists. Chairs, lamps etc

Yeah interested in gardens but hopefully more interested in the future

  21. 1. How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

I would say quite modern, with quite a bit of colour and maybe a little bit of a retro vibe.

    2. Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

First proper house with a garden – H2B owned a flat before that we lived together in and we sold that in 2010 and bought a house…

    3. I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

Hmm I also think all! Love to see what people make of their spaces!

    4. What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

More real homes, more affordable home finds! Maybe some home DIY inspiration?

    5. Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

Definitely – what to plant when would be particularly helpful but also garden design posts too (that are affordable!)

Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

  22. 1.How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
Our house is a very boring 80s terrace, but my dream house is a 1930s one with a huge bay front window and original stained glass in the doors. So I would have to say I’m drawn to anything vintagey (is that even a word?!). I love all of the above apart from Modern. My taste is fairly ecclectic!
2.Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
We are currently living in our first house.
3.I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
I love looking at all rooms, but we are about to re-decorate our living room and bedroom, so probably those right now
4.What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
Would love to see more garden stuff and how to tart up exteriors. Would love to see some easy-peasy crafty stuff as well. Oh and storage advice!
5.Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Love gardens although ours needs attention. I really want to overhaul it this year, so ANY help would be appreciated!!

  23. 1.How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to?
Cosy cottagey slightly vintage but not too cluttered, I like my home to look lived in, not too perfect or show-home. I love homes filled with books, if books counts as a decor then that describes mine.

2.Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)
We are renting and looking to buy this year, once some job things settle down!

3.I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?
I love kitchens, the heart of a home! Also, and I know this is weird, I have a massive design thing for bathrooms. I live bathroom decor, I know that’s a very strange admission!

4.What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)
I think you cover a fab range already! Gardens would be fab, and I also love a bit of book-storage inspiration!

5.Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?
Love our garden but we have no outdoor water supply so low-maintenance and GYO ideas are always welcome… I consider five jogs up and down the stairs with two full watering cans a workout but it isn’t ideal!

  24. 1.How would you describe the home decor you’re most drawn to? (Rustic, Salvage Chic, Retro-Vintage, Mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, Classic elegance, Cottage, Modern, these are just a few but feel free to make up your own!)

I love a classic look with pops of colour and modern touches…a la Kelly Hoppen…so…for example my walls are all grey and my furniture is all black, white or earthy tones and then I have the Kartell stools in purple and the clear Perspex Victoria dining room chairs….I have purple curtains, pink, purple and red cushions on my sofa and my biggest splurge (which I am not sure Mr S has forgiven me for)…..a Damien Hirst skull painting in pink and green foil….amazing!

2.Where are you in your ‘property life’? (i.e. Renting, first home, preparing for or already in a family home.)

We are in our second owned home, it is an apartment and I think we are looking to buy a house in the next couple of years. We have a really good sized place so not rush and London house prices don’t make the move any easier!

3.I already know you all love real readers’ homes, but which rooms are you most interested in?

Sitting rooms, bathrooms and kitchens….we recently did our kitchen and we are so happy with it, only thing we haven’t done are the 2 bathrooms but I am not sure I can bear to take them on before moving. They are fine, liveable, neutral spaces…they just don’t DO anything for me.

4.What would you like to see more of in the Home section of Florence Finds? (any of the categories or feel free to suggest something I haven’t yet tackled.)

Nothing which you aren’t already covering….makovers, total re-building, accessories.

5.Are you interested in gardens? Design, urban spaces, low maintenance, planting advice, grow your own?

We don’t have a garden (much to my disappointment) so no, but if I did I’d be very in to it!
