Chanel, Malice // Essie, Sssssexy // Topshop, Jem glitter topcoat // Butter London, Knees Up metallic red laquer
December is here and right now, all I want for Christmas is a festive red nail.
I usually shun red, feeling it’s a vintage shade and doesn’t work for me, however, I recently re-discovered its merits. For me, Christmas means red, in all its festive glory and here are a round up of my favourite shades available right now.
I’d love it if you would share your favourite shade of red this morning… tell me which one I need!
Love,
Rebecca

For winter months Essie A List is a great red.
Me too! Usually steer clear of red as I like something a bit less “classic”, but this year I’m loving it.
Last year I was all about the gunmetal grey and dark minky/purples with added glitter for festive touches but this year I’m obsessed with my Essie dark berry red with a slight hint of metallic (very very similar to the one above – probably the same one!) and a dense glittery red from Rimmel for the occasional accent.
Am loving Christmas nails!
I have just bought the new Nails Inc magnetic polish in red – Kensington Palace. I love the way it goes on as a shimmering burgundy and then after using the magnet you get a whole new twist on it. Christmassy red with a modern edge -love it!
Opi’s ‘Getting Miss Piggy With It’ is fabulously bright red glittery AND has the best name imaginable!
I lurve red nails, it’s my colour of choice. I think my favourite shade is OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark. It’s a gorgeous dark, blood red. I’m wearing Grey at the moment as I’m saving myself for Christmas. Next week I’m having them painted a super sparkly bright red (a la Dorothy’s Slippers). I can’t wait!!
Love Christmas red nails! Especially brighter reds or glittery ones. Sometimes I feel a bit like I’m wearing my nans nail polish, think it depends on the tone to make it look fresh enough!
