This afternoons Friday Frock was sent to me not moments after last weeks was posted, by Kirsten. I loved it straight away, despite it being quite a departure from the styles I’ve been featuring recently. The muddy grey along with a moroccan style print reminded me of winter sun holidays and indian summers. Maybe an unexpected date-night on a warm evening or a perfect item for a September or October wedding. Dressed up with the right accessories it would work with opaques if the weather failed you or bangles and a wrap on a glorious afternoon.
Petite Grey slinky dress, Wallis – £30.40
Apologies to those who don’t require a petite, but I figured after almost a years worth of standard sized items, the petites deserved a special edition and Wallis have Up to 30% off ALL petites right now. (For the record, I sometimes wear a petite – odd I know at 5ft 6″, but with legs on the shorter length for my height, if I want a mini skirt to look ‘mini’, I sometimes head for a petite to get the length right.) Worth remembering not to discount them!
Happy Friday readers and enjoy your weekend
Love,
Rebecca

Perfect for our October honeymoon in Croatia! Thanks!
Dang! I’m so NOT a petite, but this dress would go so well with my new purple heels…
Also, may I point out you don’t have to be skinny to wear a petite from Wallis – I’m dress size 12 going on 14 up top and own at least three from their petite range!
Really love this dress even though the colours are NOTHING like I’d normally go for. It also looks super-flatteirng. I shall try on and report back!
In my case, it’s more of a height issue….
I must say though that I always seem drawn to the petite section when I’m in John Lewis… waaaaaaaaa
Thought as a response I’d trawl Long Tall Sally for a tallie submission, but (for me at least) no dice today.
I like this too – nice for work with leggings or opaque black tights i reckon x
I wore it to a wedding last weekend and it was fab. SO comfortable. Perfect length on me too. I am only 5″4 and I think my legs are probably a touch short, proportionately. Thanks for featuring it, Rebecca. Next week, fab leather-like trousers from H&M!
I always thought wallis was a bit of a “mum” shop – this dress is really cute though, and will suit my midget legs
off to the shops I go! x
