Friday Frock O’clock

All I’m thinking about right now is my holiday so when I stumbled across this Seafolly dress I fell in love. I have to admit, I NEVER spend a lot on Summer clothes, you get to wear them so little and when you do, they get ruined by sea water, pool water or suncream.

If you’re a little more confident that you can take care of them however, this could be the perfect reason to invest in a stunning beach to bar dress like this one. With care, you’ll still be wearing this in years. It’ll look equally good with heels and chunky jewellery in the bar as flip flops on the beach, or in the city for that matter sight-seeing. The colour is perfect with a tan and I love the way it has been styled here with flats and a raffia bag. It’s probably the top end of what I’d stretch to price wise, but I can see it having great longevity and being 100% worth it!

Have you started thinking about holiday dresses yet?

Love,
Rebecca

  1. I love the straps on this dress and the colour, my only worry is that this cut/shape of maxi dress can sometimes look a bit ‘maternity’?

  2. Such a gorgeous colour – would look amazing with a tan!! Am such a fan of a maxi dress too – find them so flattering!

I am all about the summer dresses right now…. my trip to NYC is a mere three weeks away and I’ve tried to buy things that will be suitable for both this city break and also our summer holiday later in the year.

I’ve been pretty good though – I’ve bought 4 dresses which will take me from the day in NYC to the evening in Soller…. and I’ve got so many dresses that I bought for honeymoon that have barely been worn too!

  3. Love it! I actually do love to invest in good quality holiday wear as i have to say i do like to look glam on holiday! It seems like the only time when i have proper time to beautify and wear summery outfits and try out new looks – I love it! – I have a little Tibi flannel dress from the Outnet and a melissa odabash bikini that seem to last and last! This year have invested in a Matthew williamson jersey maxi (also from the outnet) and a DVF bikini! Definitely hoping to get a seafolly bikini too!

This orange dress is gorgeous although might be a bit low cut for me as i’m quite busty!! x

  4. Oh I love this!! The colour is fabulous, the cut is gorgeous, the straps make it just a little bit special.

I love maxi dresses – I know they say that short girls shouldn’t wear them (I’m only 5’3″) but I find them really flattering, especially with a great pair of wedges. Just add fabulous gold jewelry and a big floppy hat = yum!
