Friday Frock O’clock

This week’s Friday Frock is from a shop that I don’t think I have featured before on Florence Finds, but for one reason or another I was browsing online recently and spied this bright and breezy summer dress.

When the weather is as bad as it has been recently there’s only two options when it comes to fashion. You can snuggle down in extra layers and sink into a depression about the falling temperatures, or dream of summer days, picnics, seaside trips and country walks. This dress belongs to my preferred option, the latter.

Jersey print and spot dress – Wallis £40 (now in the sale at £32)

I’m imagining it with wedges, a cross body bag and a bicycle, with an ice cream balanced in one hand and a vintage camera in the bike basket… Oh summer, where are you?

  1. At first glance I’m not sold on this dress, but when you mentioned ‘wedges, a cross body bag, a bicycle, and an ice cream’ I find myself reaching for the credit card…:)

  2. Love this! I saw a great dress from Wallis in a magazine a few weeks ago but haven’t seen it on their site or in store – so frustrating.

  3. The print looks lovely, although I find prints quite difficult to wear – they tend to clash with my jewellery plans 🙂

Personally I’m lusting after these shoes:|277012]&noOfRefinements=1
The kind of thing I could wear on a Friday – sensible at the front, sparkly at the back and a “sensible” heel height. And in my size! I *love* Topshop for going up to a 42…

  4. Great minds! 🙂 I was showing my friend a picture of this dress as a possible “post-wedding brunch” outfit… I was thinking big bouncy hair and oversized Jackie O style sunnies and my Lulu Lips! I think I’m now convinced I need it… Right – now to find a vintage camera and a bike with a basket! 🙂

  5. I’ve just bought this. Tried to resist but it was no good!

I’m planning on wearing it with nude platform heels to a wedding reception.

If you use the code WALLISLOVE there’s free delivery – but not sure how long for.
