Found: What should I read next?

As I’m on holiday, it seemed an apt time to share a website I found recently called What Should I Read Next? One of the things that gets chief importance on my holiday packing list is planning my reading material. I have a fear of being stuck with nothing to do on holiday and so you can see that Florenceโ€™s bookclub was not an entirely self-less series idea ๐Ÿ˜‰ – I love that it provides new ideas for my reading list and sometimes things I wouldnโ€™t have normally tried.

So when I found What Should I Read Next? I was intrigued. Put in your favourite book or a recent read that your enjoyed and it gives you 20 similar books that you should enjoy.

I tested the theory with Captain Corelli’s Mandolin – one of my favourite books. Inevitably, some of the listed titles I had already read, Birdsong for example. Interestingly though, it did throw up some of those โ€˜Iโ€™ve been meaning to read that,โ€™ books and I thought it was worth sharing.

Head on over this morning, plug in your favourite and let me know in the comments box what it came up with, or if any on my suggested reading list are particularly good! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love,
Rebecca

  1. What fun, shame I have to be at work today as I’d enjoy playing around with this site. Really recommend Margaret Foster Diary of an ordinary woman for a good female read & Hideous Kinky by Esther Freud if you fancy escaping to Marrakech.

  2. Oh yes, this is brilliant. And I’m totes off work today so my day is SET!

Thanks Rebecca, I’ll get to 5pm and wonder what I’ve been doing all day!

  3. Amazing! I try to use the Amazon feature with the “people who liked this, also liked”… but it always ends up full of rubbish. This will be brilliant! ๐Ÿ™‚

    great Find, Florence! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. This looks amazing, great find. I have bookmarked it for either when I have hours to get distracted and or when I have finished my current “to read” pile/list ๐Ÿ™‚
