This morning for the fourth Florence’s Gift Guide, I’m tackling one of my favourite things to buy – kitchen goodies! Everyone knows someone who considers themselves a whizz in the kitchen and often, the kitchen is where people feel they can’t really splash out or spend money on frivolous finishing touches. I often see gorgeous items that I really want to buy for people so this was an easy one for me 🙂
- I bought this for my sister last year and think it looks super smart on a kitchen worktop or table displaying your latest creations! Laura Ashley Cake stand with dome.
- Do you know someone who collects Le Creuset but can’t afford to add to their collection? These are super cute and affordable at £20 – Le Creuset Preserve Jar – John Lewis
- Perfect for a new couple or first married Christmas gift… White Heart serving bowl – The White Company
- I love drinking bubbles and often take them to friends houses to celebrate little achievements or milestones, but not everyone has lovely champagne flutes. Marks and Spencers has several fabulous rages of glassware at the moment – well worth a look even for your own home! Champagne Flutes – M&S
- For those who want to splash out there’s nothing better than the Candy Apple Red KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer – John Lewis
- Warm somebody up with this tactile cable knit textured tea set – Cable Knit tea set – BHS
- Because everyone needs one ad this is scandi-style at it best: Red Biscuit tin – M&S
- Also available in white, I love the witty take on this ceramic Silver Milk Carton – NOTHS.com
Have you found anything here to help with your Christmas get shopping? Or is there something I have missed? Come back at 11 for the next gift guide – for home lovers, or check out the past gift guides for men, Etsy Gifts, and the girls.

I am seriously coveting the Kitchenaid – it seems to be everywhere which isn’t helping my obsession! One day…
All lovely ideas Rebecca!
Great post Rebecca – I want everything! (but especially the Kitchenaid) The ceramic milk jug is also currently available on Achica in white, matt black and silver (price £7-9.50) for anyone who’s interested. The white version’s out of stock on NOTHS!!
I want a kitchenaid *pout*

I seriously want that glass cake stand!! Santa might need to be given some hints 😀 When I made the nigella guinness cake at the weekend I ended up having to put it in a Le Creuset round oven dish thing as I didn’t have anything else big enough to keep it in! And I love the kitchenaid, although just clicked on the link, that’s one expensive food mixer! I bought ours from QVC when it was one of their today’s special value things and saved over £80 and got to pay over 3 months interest free which made it seem like a bargain xx
I know exactly what you mean Roz – some of the cakes in recipe books these days (OMG I sound like a granny!) are so tall so you nee a dome with serious height to display them 🙂
xo
I want a kitchenaid too. I know I sound like veruca salt, but I have wanted a kitchenaid since I was 15. That’s more than a decade people. All such good choices Rebecca xxx
Also they are good value really – my Mum was given her Kenwood as a wedding present and it is still going strong now – she said it cost over £100 then so in terms of inflation £400 or so isn’t bad (or so I keep trying to tell myself). I think I might give in at some point in 2012…and the red one would match everything in our kitchen really well!
I think they’re great value, mine has made my life so much easier – they’re great for multi-tasking as you can just leave it beating while you walk around the kitchen for new ingredients. 🙂
Also, don’t they have a life-time guarantee? I know you can send them away for repair, so they’re definitely an investment!
😉

Can you imagine the cost to post it off for repair, conservatively I think my kitchenaid weights two stone!!
I’ve always wondered why the kitchenaids are so expensive? What do they actually do? Anything other than mixing? I still want one though.
Love all of these suggestions! My amazing friend Sarah (Glasgow_Mummy) bought me the milk jug in white last year! Totally coveting the green Kitchenaid for our kitchen! 🙂
I love the milk jug & would love a Kitchen Aid mixer 🙂
Oooh a post with lots of red things in! Right up my street! I want the jam pot, (not so subtle hints already dropped) the kitchen aid and the biscuit tin, oh and my own house to put it all in, not asking for much really!
