This morning I’m sharing a micro trend that I have seen all over the high street from French Connection to Reiss and Whistles. Block colour has remained big this season but its happening in a new way, with the colour literally being blocked within one piece. Showing up again in a muted palette of neutrals combined with desert shades of clay, burnt orange and bright tangerine, is seems new and fresh for summer when the SS trends can start to lose some of their appeal as we all get ready for something new.
Here are a few of the pieces I have found… I’ve already bought the skirt from Whistles (pictured here with the matching shirt – the range in this pattern is exclusive to Selfridges stores) as a summer wardrobe refresher and given the colour palette it’s going to work brilliantly into Autumn too.
